Working from our Tallassee, AL facility, partners with theProgram Managers working with the Value Stream and Functional leaders to ensurethat financial data is available to assist in managing day to day activities todrive the right behaviors and performance. Interface with accounting functionto ensure proper controls and governance in the businesses. Participates in businessstrategy including evaluating and negotiating new business pursuits.
Whatyou'll do
Leads Program Finance function
Working with the Program Managers to provide accurate forecasts to leadership
Uses the systems to provide key indicators that drive business performance to exceed operational and financial objectives.
Works with the team to safeguard company assets.
Partners with functional counterparts to ensure transactions are recorded properly.
Manages capital appropriations to ensure that capital expenditures are budgeted and properly authorized.
Manages labor charging to ensure that labor is charged to appropriate jobs.
Provides management and technical direction to staff to ensure that the business unit meets overall goals and objectives.
Trains support staff in functional areas of responsibility and on accounting systems.
Prepares nonstandard monthly entries for the business.
Supports accounting team as required for month end close
Resolves or recommends solutions to complex business issues encountered within the business unit.
Ensures the development of forecasts including the business unit's program margins, profit and loss, specific balance sheet items, operating budgets, and related reports.
Provides Corporate Finance with data in common formats.
Produces periodic reports to meet the needs of company management.
Direct special projects as needed.
Apprises senior management of financial results or issues and identify solutions to complex problems.
Ensures business unit compliance with GKN policies and procedures
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
About you
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
7+ plus years of experience in a financial planning and analysis role
3+ years of management and leadership experience
1+ year of Manufacturing experience
2 + Specialized knowledge in cost accounting, operational accounting, budgeting, inventory, etc.
Additional Experience
Ability to manage cross functional teams
Business acumen and understanding of business operations
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Unquestioned business ethics, honesty, and integrity
Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
Excellent PC skills in Windows Suite
Strong organizational skills and process adherence

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
