Chief Manufacturing Engineer

Chief Manufacturing Engineer (CME) is the technical leader for Manufacturing Engineering and is responsible for the manufacturing definition and ME related activities within the program / value stream through its lifecycle. The CME leads the multi-functional Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team that is deployed into the program / values stream and acts as the primary representative for (ME) at all program / technical reviews & externally (with customer & suppliers). Will ensure the manufacturing system meets stakeholder requirements including; technical compliance; adherence to ME processes and standards and compliance business case (including quality; delivery and cost).
What you'll do
Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery of a manufacturing system that fulfils all stakeholder requirements including;
o Quality, Health & Safety, design, producibility, business case etc.
Accountable for the M.E. metrics including;
o Product safety
o Quality (including right first time measures)
o Delivery (completion of the M.E. related activities in line with the agreed schedule)
o Cost (NRC & RC)
Product development including;
o Selection of capable manufacturing processes
o Validating the capability of the process and/or equipment
? Including that all process / test requirements, relating to the manufacturing system, are suitably addressed
o Introduction of new technology in line with the Program / Value Stream requirements
o Supporting the Make v Buy & subsequent supplier selection process
Ensure adherence to all applicable Quality processes and procedures including;
o All regulatory laws and guidelines are complied with
o Customer requirements (where mandated)
o Export Control and ITAR requirements
Leadership of the deployed M.E. team including;
o Ensuring that safe working practices are maintained at all times
o Daily management of the M.E. team.
o Allocation of task in line with the agreed schedule / budget
o Ensuring that all M.E. related reviews (internal & external) are completed to schedule and that the inputs / outputs are managed to the defined process
? Inclusive of capturing / auctioning Risk and Lessons Learnt
o Ensuring the successful transition of a program from one lifecycle gate to the next
Acting as the M.E. lead with;
o The Program Management / Value Stream leaders
o Other internal disciplines
o The customer
o The nominated supply chain
Support the Design Chief Engineers on their technical reviews (internal & external) as required
Travel up to 10%, to support occasional technical meetings with suppliers, customers and other company facilities to ensure program success.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar field is required, OR, in lieu of degree 15+ years of aerospace or equivalent manufacturing environment experience may be considered.
Minimum 10 years of practical experience in an aerospace or equivalent manufacturing environment including;
o Composites manufacturing
o Resource management
o Budget, cost schedule, and resource management
o Acting as a manufacturing engineering leader / authority on an aerospace program
o Manufacturing engineering related process and data management, with related periodic reporting
1 year of experience acting as the Manufacturing Engineering technical lead / authority on aerospace or similar programs.
5 years composite manufacturing experience with demonstrated expertise in composite manufacturing processes and best practices.
Due to export compliance, must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Additional Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have a certification as a Lean / 6s practitioner (greenbelt as minimum) and demonstrated application of Continuous Improvement / Lean tools and techniques with.
Desire 15-20 years practical experience/expertise in composite manufacturing
Understanding of aerospace industry standards such as AS9100, National Aerospace Standards, SAE, US mil-standards, ISO9001, Nadcap, etc.
Experience with OEM (Airbus, Boeing, Bell Helicopter, Sikorsky Helicopter, Lockheed Martin, etc.) supplier quality and certification requirements
A thorough working knowledge of the various manufacturing production systems such as SIOP, MES, MRB, Planning, and QMS.
Working with diverse skill sets and teams to accomplish results.
Demonstrated people management success including hiring and performance management as well as maintaining high levels of engagement among the technical staff .
Good interpersonal team working skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Has the ability to work successfully within a matrix managed business, able to influence without direct authority.
Proactive in regard to new developments of expertise required.
Self-motivated, resourceful, strong minded and committed.
Innovative toward all aspects of the job.
Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment.
Good reporting and communication skills on project status and progress.
Capable of interfacing professionally with customers and suppliers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
