Benefits Administrator
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the daily administration of Neptune's employee benefit and wellness programs.
Objectives
Administers company's FMLA, STD, and LTD programs. Serves as primary contact for FMLA policy and procedure interpretations and provides advice and guidance to employees and managers regarding leave benefits. Initiates leave paperwork, approves employees' leaves, documents all communications, and coordinates benefit payments with payroll.
Functions as primary contact for employees on benefit related issues such as eligibility and coverage.
Conducts new employee benefit orientations and maintains employee benefits files and updates employee benefit records.
Reconciles monthly billings for all group benefit plans and processes for payment.
Assists with the day to day administration of wellness programs and activities.
Works closely with Benefits Manager to promote and communicate corporate benefits and wellness programs and initiatives. Develops communications to enhance understanding of the company's benefits and wellness programs to include benefits orientations, open enrollment, and wellness programs.
Assist with compliance related recordkeeping, reporting and other requirements.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. PHR certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years relevant benefit administration and wellness program administration experience in a corporate environment.
Minimum three (3) years FMLA administration experience in a corporate environment.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to the administration of employee benefit and wellness programs. Must also have an understanding of compliance requirements and federal and state regulations pertaining to programs like ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and Workers' Compensation.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
HRIS experience.

Excellent customer service skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
