Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary
Neptune Technology Group has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry level candidate who wants to interact with a team of seasoned experts who lead the industry in developing the next generation of metering products. The successful candidate will complete minor design projects to support cost reductions and product improvements to existing product lines. The Mechanical Engineer must be able to develop accurate prints and specifications and exhibit analytical skills to evaluate and solve problems. He/she must work effectively with other departments to resolve customer or product issues in a timely manner and must demonstrate strong documentation and presentation skills to convey solutions to management. The ideal candidate will have 0 to 3 years of related experience and a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Objectives
Completes the design and evaluation of options to meet specifications, cost, and schedule requirements under the direction of a Project Engineer or Sr. Project Engineer. Facilitates peer reviews to ensure the integrity of design work and conformance to professional and departmental standards.
Works with the Project Engineer to develop project specifications, schedule, budget, and project justification. Makes presentations and participates in project reviews with Management, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
Responsible for providing accurate information to the Project Engineer to allow management of the project schedule and budget.
Develops expertise in current and emerging technologies and applies them to new products. Develops new ideas and inventions for use in products and ensures protection of intellectual property through disclosures and patent applications.
Participates in formulating specifications for parts, materials, processes, and tests as needed for the product design and manufacture.
Directs and supervises support personnel as needed for generation of drawings, documentation, prototypes, models, and design evaluation.

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
