Summary:
The Senior Electronics Technician works with the Engineering staff to develop, test, and support electronics productsThis individual will apply his/her technical skills to build, test, and troubleshoot electronic products and test fixtures, and will develop test programs in LabVIEW to automate test execution and data collectionThis is a self-directed position that helps facilitate the operations of the Electronics Lab and acts as a mentor to less experienced technicians.
Objectives:
Perform testing of electronic products and software for function validation, performance characterization, and failure mode identification.
Design test circuits and fixtures and write LabVIEW programs as needed to automate testing.
Troubleshoot electronic circuits, systems, and test fixtures.
Create and maintain documentation of product material lists, parts drawings, and other project data.
Requirements:
Education:
2-year Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent military trainingRelated
Experience:
5 years minimum as a TechnicianSoft Skills:
Time management, self-starter, ability to multi-task, excellent verbal/written communicationSpecial Skills:
soldering/de-soldering, advanced computer skills, some programming proficiency (LabVIEW preferred), use of electronic test equipment, following test procedures, and test automationLocation:
