Job Description:
As a Counter Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting our customers in selecting the perfect lawn mower and outdoor equipment for their needs. During the summer months, you will also be responsible for uncrating lawn mowers and assembling them, ensuring they are in perfect working condition for our customers. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about outdoor equipment and enjoy helping customers make informed choices.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide product information, recommendations, and guidance to customers.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean and organized showroom to showcase our products.
- Assemble and prepare newly arrived lawn mowers and equipment for display and sale.
- Assist in uncrating and assembling lawn mowers during the summer season.
- Perform basic maintenance and inspections on equipment as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of merchandise.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble equipment is desirable.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be available to work during the summer months (April to September).
